Boerner Botanical Gardens has a new $2 million children’s garden

The new $2 million children’s garden at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners is now open. 

Margie’s Back garden, found just west of Boerner’s Training & Visitor Center, incorporates loads of kid-helpful functions, together with an alphabet backyard garden, numbers yard, playhouses and whimsical sculptures of bees, butterflies and caterpillars.

The colourful, inviting room — about two acres in total — also features sound makers, slides, a “flower shop” with totally free postcards, small libraries and a tiny phase with a seating area.

And what child wouldn’t like a rustic bridge primary to an “enchanted cottage?”

“Margie’s Garden is a exclusive put for kids and their households to smile and interact in the joys of character,” a message from the Kezman family, the project’s donors, claims on a sign in the backyard. “It invites readers to place away the technologies and enjoy in the dust. To grow their creativeness, to odor the bouquets, to wander and chat with every other.”
